In the frame of the EpiMilk research project "Development of an integrated system for the management and traceability of the entire value chain of dairy products from goats adapted to the mountainous area of Epirus", on June 18, 2022, INEB, in collaboration with the Holy Metropolis of Ioannina Development Company and the University of the Aegean, will organize an educational seminar addressed to research and development staff, scientific staff, involved stakeholders, companies and animal breeders in the city of Ioannina.
In the meeting results of the EpiMilk project will be presented, while also discussing the best practices that should be followed in the management of small ruminant farms together with the appropriate breeding protocols to be used in breeding schemes for genetic improvement of animals towards increase yields. The latter is of high importance since it determines the profitability and the sustainability of animal farms.
