Meeting under the Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis with executives of the research community on the progress of the Flagship Research Initiative on the "Epidemiological study of SARS-CoV-2 in Greece through extensive tests for virus and antibodies, viral genome sequencing and genetic analysis of patients for the treatment of SARS-CoV-2 virus".
The members of the research team that participated at the meeting were: Manolis Dermitzakis, Professor of Genetic Medicine at the University of Geneva and President of the National Council for Research, Technology and Innovation, Vassilis Gorgoulis, Professor of Histology EKPA, Kostas Stamatopoulos - National Center for Research and Technological Development - Director of the Institute of Applied Biosciences, Sotiris Tsiodras - 4th University Pathology Clinic, PGN "Attikon" and Christos Kittas, professor of medicine, former Rector of Athens. The meeting was attended by the Minister of State, George Gerapetritis, the Deputy Minister of Development and Investment, responsible for Research and Technology, Christos Dimas, the Deputy Minister and Government Spokesman, Stelios Petsas, and the Secretary General, Thanasis Kyriazis.
