The Region of Central Macedonia in cooperation with two CERTH Institutes (INAB and ITI), through the RUMORE project, completed the development and testing of a pilot application in the rice value chain.
This application is based on Blockchain technology and aims to ensure the required degree of trust and transparency among users at all levels of the rice supply chain from farm to fork.
The application is already in operation and is used for the first time at European level in the production of rice and is based on the identification and tracking of the production in combination with unchanging cultivation and processing history of the product
