The cervHPVix research proposal, based on GRECOSELF, aspires to develop an innovative triage method of hrHPV(+) women, such that only women with higher risk should be referred for further testing, thus improving the overall efficiency of the prevention strategy and reducing significantly the unnecessary number of referrals and the consequent economical and psychological burden. The novelty of cervHPVix is focused on introducing and evaluating for the first time globally a solely molecular approach for showcasing and validation of predictive molecular biomarkers, which will enable to better categorize HPV(+) women regarding the risk of cervical cancer.
