The high-level biosafety laboratory, as well as the modern equipment for molecular and genomic analysis, made a particular impression. At the same time, they were informed in detail about the accreditations of the Institute, both in the field of genetic testing and in matters of data security and business continuity.
In the discussion that followed, the Director of the Institute, Ms. Anastasia Chatzidimitriou, highlighted the role of INAB/CERTH as the only institute of applied life sciences in the country, with a mission to provide scientific solutions to contemporary social needs and challenges, such as climate change and health crises.
During the visit, significant potential was identified for further exploitation of the Institute’s scientific expertise in health and biosafety issues.
