The Psychology Laboratory of the Institute of Applied Biosciences (INAB), CERTH, in collaboration with the Municipality of Thessaloniki, is organizing a one-day conference entitled “Psychosocial Support after Cancer Treatment and Post-Traumatic Growth” on Saturday, November 1, 2025, from 10:00 to 15:00, at the “Manolis Anagnostakis” Hall, Thessaloniki City Hall.

The one-day conference will focus on the psychological, social, and existential dimensions of life after treatment, featuring expert presentations, patient contributions, and open dialogue with the audience.

Emphasizing the importance of this initiative and the value of collaboration in enhancing psychosocial care and oncology research, the one-day conference will be opened by the Deputy Minister of Development responsible for Research and Innovation, Mr. Stavros Kalafatis, and the Director of the Institute of Applied Biosciences, Dr. Anastasia Chatzidimitriou.

The program, featuring distinguished speakers, combines scientific research with practical support, aiming to significantly improve the quality of life for people living with or after cancer, through innovative empowerment interventions and psychosocial care.

The one-day conference is held in the framework of the IC-GROWTH research project*, implemented by the Psychology Laboratory of INAB/CERTH, with the aim of promoting psychosocial support and highlighting the strength of posttraumatic growth through the experience of cancer.
