Ioannis Karagiannis, Chairman of IDIKA visited the Institute of Applied Biosciences (INAB) at the Centre for Research and Technology Hellas (CERTH), in Thermi.

The Director of the Institute, Dr. Anastasia Chatzidimitriou, toured Mr. Karagiannis at INAB’s laboratories, followed by a meeting with Rresearchers Kostas Stamatopoulos – Director of the Clinical Studies Sector, Pantelis Natsiavas – Director of the Digital Health Laboratory, and Fotis Psomopoulos – Director of the Bioinformatics Laboratory.

During the visit, the Chairman of IDIKA was briefed on the Institute’s research activities in health data management and analysis, its participation in European initiatives such as ECRIN-ERIC, ELIXIR, and EHDEN, as well as its collaborations with pharmaceutical companies and hospitals.

As Mr. Karagiannis stated, given that “IDIKA has undertaken a strategic role in evaluating and securing digital health applications to ensure they meet the highest European standards and consistently serve the citizen,” specific opportunities for collaboration were explored, aiming to enhance innovation and leverage digital technology in the field of health data.
