Sofia Notopoulou is a PhD candidate in the field of Neurobiology. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry and Biotechnology and a Master’s degree in Precision Medicine. Her PhD project entitled “Modeling of Parkinson’s disease in human neural stem cells” is fully funded from the Hellenic Foundation for Research and Innovation. Her research aims to elucidate the dysregulated Systems Biology emerging during Parkinson’s disease by generating patient-derived neural cells (iNSCs, mDANs and smNPCs) and characterizing their pathological responses using omics technologies. Her research interests include Applied Computational Biology, Network Biology and Precision Medicine in neurodegenerative diseases.
