Maria Karypidou is a biologist, graduated of the Biology Department of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and holds a Master’s degree specializing in Translational Research in Biomedicine: Molecular Diagnostics, Biomarkers and Targeted Therapies from the Department of Molecular Biology and Genetics of the University of Trace. Since 2015, she has been working as a special technical scientist at INEB|EKETA where she is responsible for system quality based on ISO 15189 at the molecular diagnostics laboratory. She is member of the European Research Initiative on CLL, ERIC. She also has extensive experience in the processing and manipulation of human tissues and cells, in the application of molecular techniques for diagnostic and research purposes as well as in next generation sequencing (NGS) technologies.
