Mara Gkioka (MSc, PhD) is a Psychologist with a Master’s degree in Cognitive Psychology and Neuropsychology and a PhD from the School of Medicine at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTH). She is a postdoctoral researcher at INEB/CERTH, an instructor in the Department of Psychology at the University of Western Macedonia in Florina, as part of her academic experience, and a collaborator and board member of the Greek Association of Alzheimer’s Disease and Related Disorders (GAADRD), Thessaloniki. Her main research interests include neuropsychological assessment and rehabilitation, the detection of biomarkers in neurodegenerative diseases and other cognitive disorders, as well as the psychology and quality of life of patients with chronic illnesses.
