INAB’s Distinction in 2018 Community Service Award Winners

The Carpentries Executive Council announced that Malvika Sharan and Fotis Psomopoulos received the special CarpentryCon Community Award. The Executive Council created this award to acknowledge their tremendous contributions in establishing CarpentryCon, the first global in-person event to bring together newer and more experienced community members to share knowledge, network, develop new skills, and develop strategies for building strong local communities in an inclusive and welcoming environment.

Initiation of Flagship Initiative “Olive Roads”

Olive Roads is the promotion of the cooperation of human resources and infrastructure of Greece, in order to highlight the qualitative characteristics of the Greek varieties and olive oil. Using genomic and advanced diagnostic technologies, it aims to trace, identify, and certify olive varieties and improve the processes of edible olive and olive oil production.

FruitTrees2Safeguard kick-off meeting

INAB’s representatives participates in the Kick off meeting of the FruitTrees2Safeguard project. The project “FruitTrees2Safeguard” aims to enrich and organize the field gene bank collections, create parent plants for the production of certified propagating material and evaluate, utilize and improve local cultivars.

AGRO-IDENTITY Kick off meeting

INAB’s representatives participates in the Kick off meeting of the AGRO-IDENTITY project in Lesvos. The project “Authenticity identification and competitiveness enhancement of local traditional products of the agri-food sector” is implemented within the framework of the Cooperation Programme INTERREG V-A Greece-Cyprus 2014-2020 and it is co-funded by the European Union (ERDF) and National funds of Greece and Cyprus.
