The originality of BIOPROSPECT relies on promoting the use of a cross-border bioprospect assessment methodological framework and economic valuation model. The main aims of the project are to explore and document the bioprospects of forested protected areas and the ways of sustainable capitalization as a mean for their wise management and conservation. –to encourage cooperation partnerships and networking among economic development planners and PA managers, to develop a cross-border bioprospect assessment methodological framework and economic valuation model in order to achieve outcomes which benefit both economic development and conservation.
