Maria Kyritsi is a Biologist, PhD Candidate at the School of Biology at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTH) and Research Associate at INAB-CERTH. She holds a Master’s degree (MSc) in “Applications in Biology” with specialization in “Biotechnology, Molecular and Microbiological Analysis of Products and Food” from the School of Biology, AUTH. Her work focuses on the application of omics technologies, molecular biotechnology, and microbiology in the Agri-Food sector. She specializes in assessing bacterial strains and modulating the gut microbiome to enhance animal health and productivity, conducting both in vitro and in vivo studies. Additionally, she has a strong background in applying next- and third-generation sequencing (NGS/TGS) techniques across various organisms, environmental samples, and food or feed products, as well as in performing advanced bioinformatic analyses.
