Nikos Pechlivanis is a computational scientist currently pursuing a PhD in Bioinformatics under the mentorship of Dr. Fotis Psomopoulos. Nikos holds an M.Eng. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, bringing a strong technical background to his research work. His research is primarily focused on investigating the intricate relationships between soil microbiomes and global geoclimatic trends, with the goal of uncovering new insights into the complex dynamics that govern Earth’s ecosystems. Nikos is highly proficient in the R programming language, utilizing its capabilities to conduct sophisticated data analysis and build robust statistical models. He is also deeply interested in the field of data visualization, recognizing its vital importance in effectively communicating complex research findings to a broader audience.
