Prof Anagnostis (Notis) Argiriou is a Biologist, Professor at the University of the Aegean and Associate Faculty Member of the Institute of Applied Life Sciences at the Center for Research and Technology Hellas in Thessaloniki. He studied in Italy and obtained a PhD in Biochemistry and Medical Biotechnology from the School of Medicine of the University of Naples. He was/is a member of committees such as the Scientific Council of EFET, for the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Rural Development and Food and the General Secretariat for Research and Innovation. His current research interests concern the relationship between nutrition and health in a broad dimension starting from sustainable food production to the effects of nutrition on human health.
