Initiation of Flagship Initiative “Olive Roads”
Olive Roads is the promotion of the cooperation of human resources and infrastructure of Greece, in order to highlight the qualitative characteristics of the Greek varieties and olive oil. Using genomic and advanced diagnostic technologies, it aims to trace, identify, and certify olive varieties and improve the processes of edible olive and olive oil production.

As part of the CODATA-RDA Research Data Science Summer School in Trieste (6-17 Aug 2018), ELIXIR Training has contributed in the organization of the flanking Advanced Bioinformatics workshop (20-24 Aug 2018) with a particular focus on Machine Learning applications.
