Eleni Avramidou received her bachelor’s degree from the Department of Forestry of Technological Institute of Kavala and then completed her postgraduate and PhD studies at the Department of Forestry and Natural Environment of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, specializing in the field of Rangeland and Wildlife, Fish and Freshwater Ecology and Management of Forest Pastures. Since 2019 she received a researcher- postgraduate student scholarship at the Institute of Applied Biosciences (INAB/ CERTH) in the framework of European or national projects. Since 2023 she is working as a postdoctoral researcher at INAB/ CERTH in the framework of European or national projects. Her research interests focus on the study of molecular mechanisms that control the tolerance of plant and forest species to biotic and abiotic stresses, plant improvement by conventional and biotechnological methods to increase production, production of valuable products, genotyping of species and varieties, biodiversity assessment through species identification.
