Αnna Nisyraiou is a psychologist, post-doc of the Institute of Applied Biosciences at CERTH, the Center for Research and Technology Hellas, Thessaloniki, Greece. She studied at the Psychology department at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and has a specialization in clinical psychology (M.Sc. in Foundation in Clinical Psychology, Bangor University). She holds a PhD from the University of Macedonia and has been trained in Cognitive Behavioral Psychotherapy. She has worked in support services for chronic patients and vulnerable social groups. Her current research interests include empowering patients to manage their disease through effective interventions and identifying factors that influence their management.
